The recent return to tougher restrictions on weddings has come as real blow to bride and grooms and the wedding industry alike. Planning a wedding for many months to be suddenly told only fifteen guests can attend because of COVID-19 is devastating.
Many bride and grooms have taken the decision to delay their big day until less turbulent times and planning a wedding during Covid-19 is not high on their agenda. Whilst others have reduced their guest list and gone ahead with their small but beautiful wedding. With a big party planned in the future.
One creative bride and groom have found a very novel way around this. Roma Popat and Vinal Patel celebrated their big day in Chelmsford in front of 250 guests! They managed this, even with all of the Covid-19 restrictions, by hosting a drive-in wedding. Their wedding day wasn’t quite the one they had planned but it was still amazing. They even managed to see all of their guests by driving around in a golf buggy.
Their drive-in wedding may well be the way forward – for a short while anyway.
Lets hope things do return back to normal sooner rather than later. We can’t wait to see lots of beautiful brides and handsome grooms celebrating with all of their family and friends.
At Paperchain Wedding Stationery we are on hand to help with any new small weddings. Any changes to wedding plans or any weddings in the future.
